The Art of Making the Residents Happy!

The basic aim of realtors stays the same as any other marketers: they want to make their customers happy. Dealers in property business seek out diverse ways to satisfy their clients and ensure that the residents are happy in their new place. Recently, there was a detailed discussion on building “happy real estate” during the Happy Cities FIABCI World Real Estate Congress. There were debates and discussions over the link of happiness with the residence one chooses to live, how communities help each other be happy and how certain activities and living standards in a locality can contribute to individual’s happiness. If you are looking for more information about happy localities to boost your emotional, physical and social wellbeing, go to https://www.luxuryproperty.com/jumeirah-golf-estates-dubai and get more info.

According to CEO of HR’s Corporate Well Toolbox, Tim Garret, the fundamental requirement of happiness for any human being is not only interaction with peers, but also substantial contact with nature. For this, parks and community recreation is the most required for individual happiness. Although, in some cases, it can get expensive for builders to include all the elements to bring happiness. The cost of creating public parks and play areas can be a bit high, however, it doesn’t always have to be. The founder of Wellbeing Institute, Paul Scialla says that the total cost to ensure the integration of natural elements such as clean air, fresh water and sufficient exposure to light is even less than 1% premium as compared to the average cost of construction.

The developments in Dubai including The Sustainable City, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Al Barari and Town Square are few of many projects that are including the key characteristic of happiness and wellbeing to make a community more livable and comfortable for the residents. At the recent Gulf Real Estate Awards, the project “Sustainable City” won the award for being the “Happiest Community” in the metropolitan of Dubai.
Tarek Qaddumi, who is a key architect at TNQ Architects and Engineering Consultants commented that it is very important to discern the values of the customers, what they exactly need and then the builders try their best to translate their experience. Whereas the chair of Architecture Department at Jeddah’s Dar Al Hekma College supports the notion that interaction between individuals can create happiness among communities, a beautiful community offers many facets of interaction including long benches for people to spend more time together.
The Happiness Project
The author and founder of Happy Lab, Mr. Chales Montgomery says that he finds more and more developers who focus not only on building beautiful and well-designed homes but also on ensuring to create a happy and interactive community to live in for the residents. Mr. Montgomery is an expert in the well-being and happiness of living. He also does consultancy work concentrating on the relationship between design and wellbeing. He also suggests that to live a blissful life, connections and social relations are the most important contributor, they help in creating productive people who act as reasonable citizens, enjoy a healthy life and live 15 years longer on an average.
Considering the needs of residents, it’s not new that builders focus on developing communities that are breathtakingly beautiful, such as Emirates Livings. It has always been common to integrate social experiences, lifestyles, malls near the residential area such as in Downtown Dubai. Such projects are not happening for the first time but they some developers really do focus on these aspects more than the others. And they are without any doubt: more successful at winning their clients and ensuring “happy homes”.

Building Happy Homes
A residential block, Nshama’s Town Square was also built on the concept of ensuring happiness. The area consists of 750 acres, with beautiful recreational parks around the residence, skate parks, and other activities to ensure healthy lifestyles of the residents. The community was launched just 03 years back and is highly popular among the residents now.
The CEO of Nshama, Fred Durie says that their idea was very well accepted, and it is always pleasing to see residents enjoying the different activities offered by the community that boosts their physical, mental and social well-being.
The sales executive director in business development at JGE, Essam Saleh also describes his priorities when building a new project. He says that the JGE development always puts human wellbeing and happiness on the forefront, when designing any new project. He delineates on how the core elements of nature such as plants and water are essential to the human happiness. It helps in increasing motivation, a jest for life and zeal for living. According to him, they do not only create projects to live, but specifically to live happily and with contentment.

He explains the entirety of his project that more than 70% of the residential community is filled with natural beauty. With more than 4,000 trees and around 15 lakes, this locality is not just for living, but for living in beauty and enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature. With that, there are tons of tennis courts, gyms, golf courses, jogging tracks and other activities to keep yourself physically and socially fit and active.
